It is looking increasingly likely that the Library Theatre in Sheffield will open its doors again in June. With this in mind, 53 Theatre Group will look to presenting its long postponed production of ‘Grow Up, Grandad’ in its established autumn slot in November.

 

 

27th January 2022

Due to the uncertainty of the reopening of the Library Theatre, our production of 'Grow Up, Grandad' by Gordon Steel has now been postponed until Autumn 2022.

 

 

23rd September 2020

Our production of 'Grow Up, Grandad' by Gordon Steel has now been postponed until April 2021 due to the on-going Coronavirus restrictions.

We can announce today that our Spring production will be 'Grow Up, Grandad' by Gordon Steel.

We can announce today that our Autumn production will be 'A Kick in the Baubles' by Gordon Steel. As the build up to the Christmas festivities begins, 'A Kick in the Baubles' might just jingle your bells!

Due to a series of very unexpected circumstances, 53 Theatre Group regrets that the planned production of 'Caught in the Net' has had to be cancelled. Ticket monies are refundable. Keep watching this website for news of following productions.

 

 

3rd December 2016

53 Theatre Group is pleased to announce that the Spring 2017 production will be 'Caught In The Net', a fast-paced farce by Ray Cooney and sequel to 'Run For Your Wife'.

 

 

17th November 2016

Once again we are indebted to our very generous audiences for contributing to our chosen charity during the run of 'The Thrill of Love'. We have been informed that a total of £312.22 was raised, which Haven House tells us is a fantastic amount.

The Annual General Meeting of the 53 Theatre Group will be held on the above date at our Lansdowne Chapel rehearsal rooms at 8:00pm (refreshments from 7:30).

 

11th April 2016

The 53 Theatre Group has a history of fundraising for local causes and we were proud to announce that we would be raising funds during the production of 'Be My Baby' for a local charity. Baby Basics, seemed appropriate given the subject matter of 'Be My Baby'. We would like to thank the audiences who donated £112.84 to this volunteer-led project that supports new mums who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of a new baby.
